Nationally acclaimed artist and senior Warlpiri law woman, Lily Nungarrayi Hargraves, tells the story of her painting - Duck Pond Dreaming. We invited Nungarrayi to showcase her latest work inside the growing YAMA art installation at Warnayaka Art Centre and she explained the story of the flowing water and bush turkey at the sacred Duck Pond site near Lajamanu in the Tanami Desert region of the Northern Territory, Australia. This Jukurrpa (Dreaming) story was her father's and has been passed down to her; it's the Dreaming for Nungarrayi, Jungarrayi, Napaljarri, and Japaljarri skin groups.
