Warnayaka Aboriginal Artists
Indigenous Australian Artists Putting Dreaming Art Onto Canvas And Wood
Our artists have the need to preserve, protect and pass on the cultural significance of Warlpiri. As Indigenous Aboriginal Australians it is important to hand on their culture to the younger generations.
Warnayaka Art is a small art house with 60 resident Warlpiri artists. We represent over 90 artists. Our artists are extremely skilled with many of them having worked as artisans all their lives.
The Warnayaka Art have a dedicated team of Warlpiri people from the Lajamanu Community to maintain the computerised database and run the art centre production. Older and younger community members produce paintings and make wooden artefacts.
